STEPHANIE AND BRIAN 

Our Story

For Brian, it was love at first sight.  For Stephanie, it was – unfortunately – a broken arm.  Fortunately, Brian was smart enough to be patient.  And after waiting 2+ months to have a 2+ hour introductory phone call – that only ended because of the Barbie movie – the spark was lit that brought them to this moment!  

The proceeding months were filled with adventure based on the seeds sowed during that first call. The third date sealed the deal when they saw a Bacon Brothers “concert”… yes, they saw Kevin Bacon sing “Footloose” in person. During Stephanie’s business trips to the Middle East, Brian bonded with Naomi, Stephanie’s beloved cat, in a relationship that was cherished and far, far too short lived.  

Before they knew it, they were off to London for a quick and amazing first trip together  – and the first meeting for Stephanie with one of Brian’s friends.  As it became clear that this was true love, Stephanie bravely opened herself up to meeting Brian’s 3 daughters. In the most expensive bowling experience imaginable, Stephanie immediately developed a rapport with Hayley, Mackenzie, and Corinne.  And the girls immediately loved Stephanie.  From there, loving bonds were formed over watching “Stranger Things”, playing with Naomi, helping with homework, putting together puzzles, games of Rummikub and so much more!  And so, Brian has learned to be prepared for the peppering of “When is Stephanie coming over” or “Why isn’t Stephanie coming over” questions from them.  

They continued to build their bond during a trip to the White House West Wing, seeing Robert Plant perform, going to Naples FL, Manhattan, Boise, Idaho and Brian’s first “ski trip”, being in person at the Boston Celtics championship game, seeing a long awaited Pearl Jam concert in Baltimore and taking a magical trip to Italy, with too many stories and memories to tell in this space - like being lost in the middle of nowhere without cell service that turned into a private vineyard tour and tasting, hiking up Mt. Vesuvius in a lightning storm, and navigating a 24 hour sickness that sidelined travel plans. Through it all, Brian and Stephanie used the opportunity to learn more about themselves, and each other.

To be sure, it took way too long for Stephanie and Brian to find each other. But now that they have, they are more grateful then they can say, and know a wonderful and exciting life awaits them.
